Relationships and Timeline
Theatre:
THE PIMP:social_climber Harry on the surface is Nell’s pimp, but the two share a confusing relationship. Harry often pretends Nell is his ward to gain sympathy form the high-class ladies he woos and to conceal their real relationship. Nell is in love with Harry and would defend him to the death, and Harry is slowly realizing he is in love with Nell too.
THE BEST FRIEND:madcap Piper is the closest thing Nell has to a best friend. Piper spends most of his time trying to get Nell into trouble
THE TEACHER:quickwitted Lucien Régnier is new to the theater and more educated then most of the boys. Nell only really knows him as the boy Harry employed to teach them Shakespeare.
THE MOTHER-SUBSTITUE:vivianthorpe Vivian Thorpe takes care of the boys at Harry’s brothel. Nell feels close to her although he is certainly not blind to her devotion to Harry.
THE ENEMY:robinsings Robin is Nell’s sworn enemy, or would be if Harry allowed it. Nell and Robin constantly jostle for position as the best earner at the theatre.
THE THEIF: Illya is a new boy from Eastern Europe. He often steals things from Nell or the other boys.
THE STAGE HAND Will has been Harry’s right hand man in the theatre since back in the day. He and Nell do not always see eye to eye and Will is far to quick to take liberties with the boy than Harry would be pleased to learn.
Clients:
THE OLDER MAN:the_ambassador Léon Belmont has been a patron of Nell’s for a long time. He is quite enamored of the boy even having had a painting done to hang in the embassy. His relationship with Nell is not simply physical, he also uses Nell to gain information.
THE LORD:lord_hurst Lord Hurst is an on again/ off again client that Nell sees only when the man is in London. He is one of the men Léon has requested information on.
THE NEW LOVER:antoine_laurent Antoine is the newest of Nell’s clients. He is kind and lavishes Nell with gifts, treating him as a mistress of sorts.
THE SPY:rogueblake Another new client, Nell is quite sweet on Demetri who is younger than most of his clients. Little does he know that his life is in endangered because of him, nor that Demetri has a lover – a discovery that would upset Nell more than he would like to question.
Others:
THE THREAT:mrslater Slater murdered Harry’s first love and has already ear-marked Nell as Harry’s best earner. He has tried on one occasion to tempt Nell over to his business.
THE SOCIAL REFORMER:miss_emilie_ash Miss Emelie Ashford a strange friend for a boy prostitute to have but she seems very fond on Nell, as well as Harry Fisher, and has promised to teach him to read.
THE MADAM:gildedlady Constance Mosley is another threat to the business, although she seems to like Nell. The feeling cannot be said to be mutual.
THE NEW GIRL:prettypoppet Harry’s sister Mary Roper. Nell is certain she can’t be his sister as Harry has never mentioned a family before and fears Mary may instead be a mistress.
THE OLD GIRLannwayland Nell has yet to meet Ann Wayland Harry’s older sister but he would probably be as weary of her as he is Mary.
